I'm always a bit sceptic when someone advertises "a 10 fps performance boost" without any word on the conditions in which it was achieved, but this trick really seemed to work. My average fps in "The Black Death"-track went from about 49-51 to over 60(reboots inbetween runs), and as far as I can remember I didn't change anything else. Funnily enough it was exactly the famous 10 fps boost

Can anyone else confirm my observations?

I was under the impression this only helps with Nvidia cards

didnt work for me, averaging measly 18fps ..running (ATI Sapphire HD 2600 pro 512mb ddr2memory) 2gbs on board memory as well
