No worries about the time aspect. All we would like to see is regular updates, even if its just a few lines about what you've done/are doing. Maybe every month or so. If you don't feel the need for a dedicated forum, then use this thread in subsim, i'm sure the admin's would not object too much.

If and when you get the time, could you post a fuller description of the game? Could you describe how it will works and how will it intereact with SH3 (not the technical details of the software, just a broad outline). I've a few more detail questions i'd like answered, if and when you get the time:

-How will you manage the game as a player and what are your options. For instance do you have control over german weapons research and development? and can you develop weapons and have them deployed before they historically were? For instance are you adding the numerous advanced sonars and torpedos which the germans were working on at the end of the war, such as the sonars 'Hildebrand', 'Felchen' and the SP passive attack set.

-How does the overall strategic campaign 'score' your achievments? can you delay the end of the war by sinking more allied ships, and can you even 'win' the war for Germany by sinking enough allied ships.

-How much control do you have over the production of submarines i.e. can you control the numbers and types of boats produced.

I'm sure others will have additional questions about SubWolves, and i hope we are not bothering you too much.

it's not a mod, it's a stand alone game, it has been mentioned for many times now.

i started to write a more detailed description and i remarked that Subwolves is very complexe, too complexe to describe it in a short text. So its better if you post all your questions in this thread and then I will answer on these questions on the website of subwolves under FAQ during the next weeks. (FAQ doesn't exist yet)

Ok, then how about this for starters:

1. What U-boats will be in the game (i'm assuming only those U-Boats which SH3 uses will be in the game)?
2. Will you have control over what U-Boats you can build? i.e. can you order your yards to build whatever mix of u-boats you want?
3. How is technological advance handled? do discoveries 'happen' or must you research them? And can you direct the flow of research? For instance could you have zaukonig homing torpedoes in service say 6 months earlier than they were historically? (As an example of a game were research/resource allocation is handled very well see Hearts of Iron II)
4. Do you control resource allocation? can you decide on what subs to build up to a certain limit controlled by a resource limit?
5. Can you give a brief description of HOW one would play the game? A short desciption of the screenshots on the subwolves site would be helpful, and an explantation of all the map symbols/buttons etc.
6. Is training and captian allocation controlled by you or the AI?
7. Can typical U-Boat weapon loads be controlled by the player?
8. Will be campaign be a 'dynamic' one or a 'scripted' one. Will you actions as Bdu have an effect on the game?
9. Will WW2 factors outside the scope of a submarine simulation affect the game. Like allied strategic bombing of german factories? When the RAF bombed Hagen they heavily damaged the main supplier of U-Boat batteries, reducing type XXI deliveries as a result.
10. Does the game start on September 1st 1839? or does it start either before or after this date.
11. Will technology/weapons which did not reach service be allowed, i.e if you research 'hard' enough could you bring say 'Fanfir' anechoic tiles into service, or the Steinwal walter powered 45 km range torpedo, or prehaps the Felchen advanced sonar (functionally identical to the 1950/s/60's USN sonar system called PUFFS).

Thats all i can think of for now (i'm geting hungry and its time to cook dinner). I'm sure other's will have many more questions and thanks in advance for taking the time to put together a FAQ.
