HI Jimi i think your menu tool is great...
I loaded through jsgm after i added to the icons....but all i get in game is odd coloured buttons and the symbols on top are all messed up.They seem to be missing textures ........i am runing TMO and 1.5 with rsdc and PE latest version... AS Duci has said some of the buttons are missing symbols due to them not being copatable with TMO 1.4 ......can you help me i want to use your menu maker but the graphics are bad.....i am running a wide screen 1650x1050

Love your work.
A quick question - could you pleeeeeeeeeease explain how you save your MenuIconsBut.tga to DDS as it is "not to power of 2"? I have been trying to add a couple extra button Icons (see below) and I can't get it to save. You can have the Icons if you like them, or want to add them to your great mod.

Hi Nauticalwolf,
here you will find a lot of useful tools for editing files. There are also dds converter. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=124340 I use photoshop and nvidia dds plugins. Take care: The MenuIconsBut.dds is with darkgrey background for use in SH4 and the MenuIconsBut.tga is with light grey background for use in Menumaker. Here is the photoshopfile i used for the Menuicons. Take care of the alphachannel. http://www.file-upload.net/download-...nsBut.psd.html Unfortunally you have forgot to link your icons. If you get in trouble with the dds, you can send me your graphics and i will convert them. email is jimimadrid@gmx.de |

Hi,
Thanks you. Here are the menu buttons Icons. I also use photoshop 7 and an nvidia dds plugin (V5.18). Every time I try to save the MenuIconsBut file after I've edited, I get a 'not power of 2' error message. I just tried to save the .PSD you gave me and I still get the same message. I just cant workout what I'm doing wrong.

@Nauticalwolf,
i have build in your new icons. Unfortunally i have to rewrite and blow up the menumaker, because there was no more free place for the icons. Now there are a few slots free for additional icons. Please go to my first post and download the 2.0a version. |

There are a number of modding tools that are on my list of favorites. Winmerge, S3D, Winzip (yes winzip), and as of 5 minutes ago, most definatly this tool! I just tried it out, and .. im serious.. this tool is one of the coolest things to ever grace the mod forum. What would take an hour or three (at least for me) now takes, minutes.

Problems selecting icons and commands
Jimimadrid,
FIrstly, a great program. But I have a small problem in using MenuMaker. When I click on an icon for a button, or an order for a button, I get the icon or order two places to the left, not the one I was clicking. I have narrowed down the cause to be the fact that I run my Display Properties/Settings/Advanced/General/DPI at 120dpi instead of the default 96dpi. Is this something that can be fixed? or do I just have to keep changing it back to use Menumaker? Thanks kolds |

kolds,
sorry but i did not take care of the dpi resolution. My fault. I have rewrite the code so that Menumaker will work also with 120 dpi. Please go to the first post and download Menumaker v2.0b. |
