Yes, but does each U-boat actually have its own crew during the whole operation in Subwolves?
I mean, if your program generates .mis files, doesn't it randomly select crew for the player's sub?

Yes, you can upgrade each unit with new developments or what ever, upgrade and giving medals to the crews, upgrade and giving medals to the uboat-commanders, they gain more and more experience during their patrols and escpecially during battles...
Thanks for the update. Another question: is Germany's unconditional surrender in May 1945 inevitable? Will it be possible to make good strategic decisions and prolong the war to late 1945 at least, or even 1946? (Not that I personally would have desired this, historically speaking).

Now if there was a league setup somewhere , where one person was in charge of the BDU, using this new game when it comes out, and he had his various Uboat commanders in touch via email. He could send the generated .mis file to him to actually sail and then get the return file by email to allow Seawolves to calculate the results. This could then be posted on a site showing the progress of the camapign etc.....just an idea
That's a really good idea. It would help keep online leagues from seeming too abstract or fictionalized to the participants.

Wow,
Not only is this a great idea, I think it is a very original concept to go with SHIII.......
The only thing that worries me is that you will have loooooong loading times when switching between the BdU screens and the actual SHIII encounters; this takes only a couple of seconds in the Total War series, but will take more like minutes with SHIII! I hope you can figure out a way to beat that.....
And last but not least: I do hope you don't get into any legal issues with Ubisoft though....

Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to it!

during the last days, I implemented code in Subwolves to make it multilingual.

Now, there is no limit for other languages any more.

How does it work?
I can export all texts in a excel file, so people who translate SW needs only to translate the excel file, send it back to me, I import it to Subwolves and there is one language more in Subwolves.

Now, I found already somebody who translates the texts from german to english.

Is somebody interested to translate the texts from englisch to french or english-spanish?

if yes, please get in contact with me.
thanks

best subwulf

THIS is the mod i've been waiting for......adding an overall strategic layer to SH3 is a brilliant idea. Best of luck to the guys trying this. If you need any help with research etc. i've loads of info.

Cheers

Default Wow Thank you

With SubWolves our dreams are coming true. We won't need an SH4 at all.

This will OWN my computer and my time forever.

Thanks to all the brilliant people who built the mods and this great new concept, SubWolves. Well Done!

Is there any chace that you guys could post more updates/progress reports etc. either here on on the subwolves site? This concept has created quite a stir, and we would all like to know more about how you are going to realise your plans for SW.
As there is only a german forum for the developers only, subcim.com is the only place for the rest of us to post about this game.

ok. i see the problem...

actually there are two guys who translate the parts of Subwolves and website. So in around two weeks, all aspects of the website should be translated, actually they translate the text of the game. And the translations of the website, which will follow, will clear a lot of questions i think.

Forum:
Maybe it's still to early to have a complete own forum, isn't it? Because actually I have completely no time to be present in a forum for answering questions, I need all my time beside university and privacy for developing Subwolves. Of course, there will be a forum in around 2 months maybe, but actually not. Please understand the actual situation. Or are there any other solutions/suggestions?
