RUb is the father of all mods. Includes no big sound or graphics changes, but tons of gameplay changes.

IUb is RUb plus the Harbour Traffic Mod and many sound and graphics enhancements.

GW is more or less "IUb Deluxe", even more sound, graphics and gameplay changes and it has the most advanced campaign.

Thanks, Gizzmoe. That's exactly what I needed to know.

Default GW + SHIII Commander

Is the verdict in on whether these two are compatible? I've read conflicting things throughout the forum.

Yep, seems that they don´t keep the torrent file for very long... This one still works:

Thanks. I found also one on Isohunt before you replied. It currently has 16 seeders and 2 leechers (one of them is me). So downloading 40 kB/s which is for my connection better than http! (dsl 384/128).

One hour to go!

Thanks again Gizzmoe... (Kewl, we made the "Announcement" section. )

By late next week it would appear that we will have some alternative mirrors available.

Thanks for your patience everyone.

Default AMAZING MOD

This is beautiful work. Thanks to the Grey Wolf design team. As I told Kpt. Lehmann in a PM, this mod should really be called "Silent Hunter III 1.0", because it makes the standard install look like a beta!

I'm starting a new career, Type II out of Kiel. Going west down that channel to get to grid AN takes an eternity at 1X (although it's certainly pretty!). I seem to remember a mod that lets you use time compression even close to land. Am I remembering correctly, and if so, what was it called?
Thanks!

Start tweeksh3.exe, then raise the Land Proximity value.

Also SHIII Commander lets you set all time compression to whatever you like.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Good ones keep me going.

Gizzmoe, thanks for posting an announcement for the GW mod.
It was a nice surprize!
