I've used this tool with SH3 so I don't know what's going on.
At first copy the JSGME.exe in the SH4 Main Folder. Create an Folder named "MODS" and insert my unrared Folder. Then start the JSGME.exe, cklick on the mod and on ENABLE.

That's all.

There are many small details in the UI in this game that ruin the "1940s" immersion. Nearly all of the icons have a very modern, computerish look, and the push buttons are very 1970's.

So here is a challenge, and I'm not sure how you would do this, but could the buttons be made to look more like somthing you would actually see on a 1930/40s sub, and could the icons have a period feel to them too?

(this of course would be less of an issue if they had just put more clickable controls in the 3d interior!)

jimimadrid, thanks for your help. I've gotten one mod to work (the small chronometer) but others won't and I believe it is because they are rar files. How do you "un-rar" them??? I appreciate it.

A simple but elegant little mod, it's a great improvement especially the green buttons.

I installed this mod and notice that when I click on the button, while holding the mouse button it does change from yello to green but when I let go it changes it back to yellow.

Based on the screenshots that I have seen it appears to me that the button changes from yellow to green. Am I missing something?

I had patch 1.1 installed prior to this mod. I used the jsgme to install the shiny mod.

Thanks!

Ok idiot here!
I added this mod to the mod manager it says it is activated but in game I get nothing.
What excatly do I copy into the mod folder. I tried putting in the whole folder in the Mod folder, but when that did not work I tried single files but I only see the mod in the enabler if the folder is copied as per the instructions and not the individual files. What am I doing wrong as I have followed all the procedures that they say do.
I already have .rar so all is unzipped ok and nothing is a rar file.

Mark, you can also unpack the files, note the file heirarchy, and then copy the originals, and drop the modded files in. Easy.
