How was the last sortie guys? I of course had to screw up the takeoff when the weather finally fine after two sorties where I hardly saw the enemy. Especially the second one had a very stereotypic British weather. Reminder to self: Concentrate on flying and not on the chat when taking off

Got one Hurri which was only an AI(Dowly's wingman) and not the evil ferret himself, so there's definitely room for improvement. This was btw the first time I've seen an AI stall AND spin after trying to follow me in a zoom climb. That's why I thought he was Dowly at first.

Mmmm...seems that some progess is going on..the french pocket is gone so we are now it complete control of the mainland.

I hope we get a change of aircraft as well soon (hopefully F-4's)

the first sortie bagged 3 Blenheims for the price of my Engine which failed during my return to base and had to crashland somehwere on a road

Dowly as usual was teasing one of our 109's in his Hurricane.

@Fincuan: that last sortie well the award for the case of extremly bad luck goes to Raptor, he just declared himself that he didnt die and having been promoted, awarded and creditted with 10 enemy aircraft shot downs.
and just 5 second later I see a Mid-air explosion...Raptor just got rammed by AI. OUCH!

Probably just as well I'd have probably panicked and ditched in the sea

I didn't really shoot him down. Just some airconditioning was done by my peathrowers. Dowly crashed himself into the ocean.

(at least I think I didn't do much damage)

Yay, Afrika! Hopefully we can retain our hard earned Friedrichs.

My first sortie in the F got cut kind of sort by a bloody Blenheim and a Spit. Made a head on pass at the Blenheim, which resulted in a smoking Blenny and engine damage to me from either pieces or mg fire from him(it was a CLOSE), then pulled up right and in front of the Spit

Received a few hits, no big deal, went in to scissors with him and gained a shooting opportunity from 2 meters away, and BLAM again. Spit went down(I suppose, didn't see him anymore and got credited with one kill after the sortie), and I got damaged even more by either flying pieces or the explosions of my own cannon shells on the Spit. Luckily I was once again able to glide to an airbase while you guys kept the enemy busy and kicked their ass

ps. Hunter could you please update the thread title to reflect our current situation? Thanks!

Average AI simply isn't good enough. You can avoid beeing hit by just flying shallow turns.

Let's see how long we will survive against better AI.:p
