What a pin. It also looks like the Lancaster, and Whirlwind will be released at the other mod site that caters more for offline.

It would see that AAA is no longer going to keep producing their Unified Installer pack. Instead they are giving their mods from what was supposed to be UI 1.2.5 over to the HXFS team.

UPDATE 11-21-2009, UI de-branding and additions to HSFX

As many know 1.2.5 will be the last build of any branded installer. So to keep the promise of unbranding on Nov 11th I sent HSFX all the content of 1.2 + 1.2.5 for inclusion into their upcoming patch 4.1

As many of you have noticed in the HSFX readme, much of the content we have previously had plus much more from other modding groups is included in HSFX.

For the time being, the only items that will be missing from 4.1 are items that require testing or that are already in HSFX.

Other items such as some maps will be missing from the SFS files at this time because there is not enough time to include everything and to test. As for missing maps and or map updates some have been rolled into SFS files and others are will be available and eventually included in later HSFX patches.

We are in the process of testing 4.1 and when ready links to the patch will be provided throught the comunity.

There will also be a vanilla HSFX dedicated server rolled out at the same.

For those wanting to know the install procedure:

408m + 409m + HSFX 4.0 + HSFX 4.1 + additional map content from the UI not in SFS format at this time.

So the long and the short of it is AAA has effectively kicked the bucket.

Well HSFX 4.1 is released, its a superhuge mod that has every plane, weapon, and maps from AAA, SAS, and Ultrapack. This modpack inspite of all of its features loads in at least 5 to 10 seconds. Links to the host site is on AAA. It uses the offical 4.09m patch.

We're still using the 4.09 beta and UI1.1, though I think now that UI is officially continuing with HSFX we should move on...

I have both installed now and I must say I very much like HSFX so far. I managed to stall a B-29 (Woot!), kill a He 111 without draining the Spit Mk I's ammo or ramming it and take a completely empty B-17 off from a runway that is actually longer than 5 meters!
