the big no-no here at subsim is mainly due that the 1Cgames/Oleg forbids it and ofcourse you require the IL2FB.EXE to be cracked in order for the mods to work.

That's clear enough.

Has Subsim(or you) been considering any kind of policy revisions now that at least Ubizoo and M4T have allowed discussion(links are still a no-no) on mods and SimHq is considering it?

How about making ONE thread, where everyone could discuss about mods (link sharing would still be banned). You know, just chit-chat, like

"Wow, did you see the new BoB beta map CanonUk made? ******* looks great!!"

"You tried the new NG 110? Finally I can play as a true nightfighter pilot!"

"Yadda yadda yaaaaaa."

This would concentrate the discussion to one topic only, instead of it popping out now and then on different threads where it is OT.

Just a though.

I'm talking about the POV "hat" on the joystick. Mine is a basic 8-directional, non-analogue (what's the word for that?) hat. An analogue hat would be easier to use (assuming IL2 accepts them as a form of input for looking around).
For so long iv'e been having a little trouble using the locked cockpit, due to the 8-directional hat on the joystick (dont have track-ir)it was a bit jerky and i used to get a bit disorientated when the heat was on, then Schroeder kindly told me about newview
http://war.by-airforce.com/downloads/newview.html
A little bit of tweaking here and there to suit your needs and i feel a lot more confident flying locked cockpit now.

Err, I thought it would be the English word for what you are referring to as POV. (We are using that word here in Germany and it doesn't really sound German so I thought you would say that in English too...).

O.K., as Kratos has already pointed out you should give NewView a try. It should solve most of your surround view issues.

Besides, we Germans are loveing English words and if we run out of real ones then we create our own ones...
For example the "German" word for mobile phone is Handy.

But there are even better ones espescially when marketing stuff gets involved and some idiot needs a cool sounding (of course English) name for a new invention. Women can buy little bags here that are worn over the shoulder and are meant to carry cosmetics, purses and small stuff like that. Now imagine what name was given to it by our brilliant highly capable marketing masterminds....

Body-Bags....

Sometimes I wish that people who are in charge of finding names for something would at least speak the language they are abusing...

Never head it called coolie-hat before... What's wrong with plain 'Hat-Switch'?

My first crappy joystick didn't have a "hat switch", it was definitely a "coolie hat"

Schroeder, LOL, now I'm trying to picture a cute woman with a short skirt, tight top and a body bag on her shoulder :rotfl:

On second thought it's not a bad idea, you could use the bag to dispose of the woman after use :hmm:

Now I have to make bloody well sure that my girlfriend never sees this :rotfl:

Dammit! Why did Goring have to build his private Chateau at the end of our runway?! I'd have just about managed to glide in if it wasn't for those damn houses!

Oh well, at least I'm getting kills now...even if I'm getting killed after getting those kills... I think my score for tonight was 3 or 4 Blenheims for 2 deaths, and neither caused by French snipers
