Default Welcome aboard!

SrgtTurk! I see the the infamous seven-year-itch has brought you to the surface, finally, after a long 'silent running' since 2017!

The IX's were ordered out of the primary Battle of Atlantic theater to safer areas. 'Money (DeutchMarks) is the sinews of war' and the cost of IX's unable to function with their intended 33% increased eel-firepower is a violation of that principle both tactically and strategically.

I agree with that sentiment - I suspect that they just ran out of time and money after creating full Type VII interiors. I really enjoyed playing Type IX careers in "Aces of the Deep" - and I, too, sorely miss having a Type IX in SH5. I would have even been happy with just the control room and no full interior. I strongly disagree with people who pan the Type IX as too big and unmaneuverable for Atlantic warfare - they were capable boats until the end of the war.

Work had been undertaken on this project... I don't remember by which talented modder... I suppose the project was stopped by the phenomenal amount of work that it represented... plus this game seems really difficult to mod...

I don't need a consultant like you. You don't know anything about it.

What the hell have I done to you that you react like this again?

I just wanted to explain to you and everyone else in the forum, because not everyone knows about the meaning, the message of your screenshot.
Sometimes I think that you are just looking for unnecessary arguments and want to provoke.

Politeness and common courtesy cost nothing and are therefore expected around these parts if you'd be so kind.

Glad to see some life in this thread again. The progress from several years ago was impressive!

Type 9 boats are very lacking in the game. I created a model in blender, but I'm having trouble importing it. I will try to solve this problem.

Blender exports obj files TDW's program don't like.
You need to adjust them with Notepad++ (fastest way)

Plus use a newer version of TDW's program.

But this can still take a lot of time. It always depends on the size of the OBJ file and the number of subsets. Because the OBJ file can have several hundred million or more lines.
