Atleast for me, the downside of the moving dogfight mission was what Schroeder said. The darn peashooters did almost nothing to the german planes. It was rather discouraging to land after a mission just to see that none of the dozens of planes you shot at were downed.
Tho, I dont know how it was so hard to shoot anything down, usually they do enough damage, but the MD seems to be jinxed. |

I agree, the both the .303s and the cannons seemed far less effective in the moving dogfight than normally

the biggest flaw that the MD mod had at that time was that the AI fighters did not respond to Player aircraft.

I think that problem has been solved. There is a mod called Zuti_DSMod.
That is the successor of the MD mod. Available here: ***LINK REMOVED*** BTW I don't think that the campaign we are now playing is bad. It is just the way we play so changing the campaign won't do much good. No linking to IL2 mods (check IL2 Modification thread for Subsim's IL2 Mod policy)

The Zuti DF mod is pretty good. Given it a go with some of th JG53 guys and it works a treat. Takes some time to set up dogfight maps for it though. But if you are moderately skilled at using the map editor then it is not so hard to so.
BW if you want something fun but more serious why not join JG53 and give that a go. We normally fly some dogfights prior to official coop missions so you get some interesting mixes of play. We are just starting to fly a Leningrad co-op campaign which looks likes having air to air, air to ground and air to ship missions. Check it out here: http://z15.invisionfree.com/Jagdgeschwader53/index.php? Last edited by TarJak; 08-09-09 at 09:19 PM. |

Wow, I actually made my first landing safely on the airfield. It was good until... Task Force believed himself that he's Maverick.
