So after seeing all these wonderful pictures, where can I get some real nice realistic looking skins for IL-2, or better yet, is there a tool where I can do the skins myself??

For the skins that I've made for IL-2 I used a program called Gimp http://www.gimp.org/, also theres a tutoral on how to make skins using Gimp out there some where.

Plenty of skins over at mission4today.com. Check out simmerspaintshop.com for tutorials and tools for making your own.

The other day I was lying in bed, it was a sunny morning and I was contemplating getting up, when I heard a noise...it was familiar...where had I heard this noise before? Band of Brothers?
Wait... WTF?! A quick dash out of bed gave me the view of a DC-3 flying overhead at about 150ft, wow! She's been over about three times since, alas I have only got a good look at the back of her, but the sound and shape confirms it to be a DC-3. We've had one fly over before, we think there's a chap in Holland who owns her and he brings her over from time to time, but this is the first time he's come over so low. So... I just had to do a flight from Rotterdam to Bentwaters in a C-47 on FSX...aaaand I did it, landed her too...although it was a bit...of a long one and a bit hard on the brakes...but she didn't ground-flip so that's always a good thing |

Two FS9 galleries of around 20 pics each. The first is preparing a Boeing 737/BJ at the gate in nightly Leipzig, taxing, flying, and then approaching Frankfurt by night, with focus on illustrating the virtual cockpit of iFly's 737.
http://imageshack.us/g/840/b01cp.jpg/ The second, again around 20 pics, is a Lufthansa Boeing 737/700 standing at the gate of Mega-Airport Zurich, zoomed in on from orbit, with some random impressions from another approach to Zurich by night at the end. Service action around the plane provided by AES. http://imageshack.us/g/16/a01y.jpg/ I provided both galleries in the iFly 737 thread as well.

So, I've decided to give Free Falcon a go.
Man it's hard work. Training first. After congratulating myself on taxiing and taking off successfully, I did a quick check of the external view. Fail Thought it sounded a bit loud. Next attempt, close canopy before takeoff. It's taken me all day to get to this point, but I'm happy. Mind you, most of the time was spent printing the manual.

Free Falcon? Looks great. I'm guessing this is a version after Falcon 3.0.
