Thats the reason i dont jump on every new mod that comes out.

Sensible thing is to back-up any folders/files that are going to be changed, incase of mishaps like that.

After two years of its first annoucement at AAA the mapmaster CanonUK has released his Channel Map, and it comes with not one map but four maps. The first two are from 1940-41+ a winter version, the other two are from 1942-45+ a winter version. And I almost forgot to mention that you need a high end PC to run the map.

It looks like AAA is imploding though. The RAF662 guys are releasing their planes seperately with some other mod group.

the SAS I think they call themselves. They have modified the FMs of the unlocked planes so they fly correctly or are at least flying in a logical manner. They do lean towards offline play though so that is their reasoning.

Shouldnt be hard to modify the gun damage stuff. The IL2 code stuff is very easy as far as particles go. Dont think the damage stuff is much more different from it.

I would like to see the Bigginhill campaign re-done with this map .... I would attempt it myself, but my campaign building skills are rather limited

I shall have to read up on it and see if there's a tweak we can make for the Lolwaffles, because I'm sure that someone will bring out a BOB campaign soon, and if the Spits and Hurris can't shoot down jack then it's rather pointless.

Anyway, the map itself...one word, beautiful. Well worth the wait. Performance wise, it's a slow loader, and has added to the load time of IL2, however once it's loaded, barely a single stutter, even when I've...redecorated the capital.

Some pictures:

Classic Spitfire, Houses of Parliament shot:

(He even got the greenish colour of the Thames right )

And of course, it wouldn't be London if I didn't do this:

What if Guy Fawkes had a Fascist blower 5000?

Now I'm just being silly:

Aside from one VERY minor local geographical niggle (he's blocked up the spit at the Alde Estuary) it's pretty much spot on.

You mean the He-111, Do-17, Ju-87 and 88s are fighters?

Hopefully any campaign will be playable from both sides, enabling us to shoot down Raptor repeatedly
