I loved Fighters Anthology! (USNF '97+ATF+ATF: NATO Fighters all in one).

I must have worn out two or three joysticks playing that, the reference CD that came with it got really warn out from use too!

Still got it. Heck I'll be buried with those two discs!

You ever make your RIO puke doing crazy maneuvers?

Most of my game 'flying' has been with model airplanes on the floor of the local hobby shop. Been playing the same airwar game since 1977.

FSX - usually just a stock 737, or if I want to die I'll take the Extra for a spin.

Wings of Prey/Luftwaffe/BoB2 I've not played enough to have a regular.

A-10C - obviously just an A-10C, I can see some longevity in this one and have just ordered Black Shark.

@Dowly - at least you've still got your X52, I'm still on my old Sidewinder

I really want to, but it has to wait until I get a new computer and a joystick.

I was "schooled" on flight sims some years back courtesy of CFS2 (which, in my view, is a far better game than it's successor, CFS3). I took some time off from flying my desk to become a (fairly decent) race sim driver and a (sub-par) sub sim skipper.

Recently, though, I picked IL-2 1946 ($15 bucks at Amazon! STEAL!), then I dusted off the Saitek X52 and went flying. I think that its one helluva sim, particularly for those gear heads among us that just have to have everything far more complex than necessary. Complex engine management is kicking my butt, but I'll figure it out eventually. The fact that it has a smart, dedicated player/modder community (like here at Subsim and NoGrip) is just icing on the cake.

So far, my #1 bird has been the P-51, but that's only because sooner or later I flat spin the dam*ed Corsair trying to knock down Zekes. (Plus, no carrier landings, at which I suck.) I'll let you know in a bout a year.
