What has SH5 really to offer?
As has been discussed at length on these forums, it has a myriad of features to offer, including, but not limited to:
  • State-of-the-art graphics
  • Boats you can fully explore
  • Wolf packs
  • Milk cows
  • Scripting and terrain editing tools
  • An AI with far more potential than the ones in III and 4
  • Far more accurate harbours than in SHIII
  • Far greater diversity of missions than SHIII's "go sit in this patrol zone for 24 hours, okay? kthxbai".
...and that's just scratching the surface.

Quote:
I must say, I did complete all the historic missions in one day...and started the campaigns, but it is not reasonable to sink 100,000 tons of shipping with only 8 torpedoes!
Good thing no one's asking you to sink 100 000 tonnes with eight torpedoes, then.

1. No compass....
Has already been made a mod for it.

2. No way to accurately use the sonar, radar and TDC
Same story and in `39 uboats hadn`t a radar

3. Slow interface
I don`t agree

4. The rudders don't work properly from right, left and amidships.
Has already been made a "shiv"mod

5. Limited missions
There will be made more

So please read the forum and the subsim mods list

Here is the link for all mods which are already made,

Hey, you're next to a whole ocean of water. I'd just put it down to mist or condensation. It's not like you get a torrent of water coming at you in those conditions, just small drops of it and very rarely.
Yup exactly.

And hey ya'll if ya dont like getting a little spray on ya, what'cha doin on a Uboat to start with? Or going out to sea at all for that matter.

Frankly im glad they modeled stuff like this in, it's about time.

Oh, and if any of you really hate it, uninstall it and take it back. I'll see ya in a few months when ya wish you hadn't.

Me three. There's a sticky for player reviews...not sure why the mods don't just move all of this crap into that thread.

EDIT: well there WAS one. I suppose they got rid of it because, as Safe Keeper said, everyone thought that their gripes were so important they warranted their own thread.

Lol - one big thread of whining would be much better IMO. It would make it easier for me (and the others who enjoy SH5) to avoid.

If the game has many problems, people will make threads about them. Tough cookies.

I've highlighted the bit thats interesting in what you've just said. You see, my game doesn't have many problems at all any more.

Edited to add, I wonder how many of the whiners actually have the game?

Well that's amazing for you! But like I said, if the game is bug riddled and half finished out of the box, people who just bought it will make threads.
And I'm not so sure "go mod it" is the answer to everything.

Why not just use existing threads for it?

It is much more self gratifying if pepole post in 'your' thread and agree with you.

It should start calming down soon.
