Why aren't enemy ports colored in red on the map?

I love the way that this thread has spawned a rumor about V1.4 Being the "glass half full" kind of person I am. I choose to buy into the rumor! So when is the projected release date? is the contact/magnetic influence switch fixed?.....

As for why the ports aren't in red... it's because you wouldn't see them very well in red light mode
