My main concern is what this means for modding, I don't see how that would be possible, and that's a big minus for a flight sim. Hopefully they open up the campaign data so if we can't make new planes, we can at least improve the gameworld. I actually care much more for the quality of the campaign than quantity of airplanes. Even one very detailed plane in a living, detailed gameworld is so much better than a hundred of mediocre platforms and linear missions. I hope they realize how people crave for a campaign like the one in Red Baron 2, and fear the scripted missions approach.

Planes were designed and became obsolete very quickly in WWI, even if you skip the less important aircraft (Like the Fokker D.I/II), it will still take a while until you have enough planes for a full 1915/1916-1918 campaign (Fokker E.III, Albatros D.II, Nieuport 11, Airco DH.2...)
