Testing
Hi Xaru n and Sung!
Tested your latest release and it works well! You've made headways and it's great.Somehow you sim reminds me of T72 Balkans on Fire also called Iron Warriors. It's a sim that could have been better had the dvelopers spend more time on it.The graphics, the effects, the tank models, the gunsight etc.BTW speaking of tanks what tanks models are you planning to introduce in the game?I hope you have the Leopard 1 A5 in mind? I love that tank.I play it in Steel Beasts. Good work now what's next on your agenda? Cheers |

We like modern tanks, but we didn't see clear about the scenario. Maybe african mercenaries like executive outcomes or a fulda gap scenario? What you think?

Scenario
It all depends on the amount of work you are prepared to do! An African scenario would mean just 2 or 3 models of tanks along with some APCS or light armour.A Fulda gap scenario on the other hand would mean a lot of tanks and vehicles to mdel,Germans, Soviets, British, Americans etc

We have decided to make a future israel, egypt/syrian scenario.
The tanks have now animated chains in the front and back view. In the lower right corner there is now a view for the turret

Tank Battles
Sounds great but which conflict?Sinai campaign of 1956?Six Days war of 67?The Yom Kippur war of 1973?Or some of the short campaigns against the Syriaqns and the PLO in the early 1980s????
You'll need quite a few models T 62/64s, T54/55s, T72s, BMPs, even in 1967 the Syrians still fielded Panzer IV ausf. G or H and Stug IIIgs and the Egyptians had SU 100 and other WWII Soviet weaponry. The Jordanians had Centurions and other British tanks while the Israelis had a mix of British form the 50s,French AMX and American M48s, M60s etc Not to mention the APCS... |

Hi Frinik
We want to create a fictitious scenario in which the control of the Suez Canal plays a role. At the moment this is only an idea. Egypt has indeed modern M1A1 tanks and Israel, in addition to 1 and 3 Merkava, Merkava 4 in stock now. These tanks will also occur in the conflict. If you had some good ideas, i would like to hear it

Moder Tank SIm
Contrary to what people think the Sinai desert is mostly a reg i.e stony not sandy except some areas near the sea. There are high mountains to the south and many wadis(dried river beds). It ´s not thre stereotype of the desert lots of Westerners have in mind with palm trees, oases and sand
dunes.Bear that in mind when you mod the landscapes for your sim. >It´s not ideal terrai n for tank war except the centre area which is fairly flat with a few roads. That´s where you action would take place as tanks would be hard pressed anywhere else because of the rugged nature of the Sinai. Since you want to use contemporary armour it will mean a lot of work to recreate modern fire controls, and all the electronics that come with it.Tough job.Do you or have you ever played Steel Beasts??? |

I like it.
Will it have the correct voices of the crew? And not the same old monotone stuff.....we tankers get a little excited when the shooting starts.

Ongoing development: The enemy has some AI now and tries to attack me. I've made a short video to illustrate it:
Please note, this is all draft of course. Still a long way to go. |
