Another effect I ahve been noticing lately, which is not so nice, is that the aircrafts sound tends to make an abrupt change in pitch when it gets closer. Is that the 2nd sound added kicking in?

i've finished the RFB version and noticed they had some better qual. plane sounds, so it should be less annoying now. the RFB version can also be used in stock and TMO. |

OK; made a quick test and the sounds are excellent! The aircraft sounds are much imrpoved, transition is now smoother, but if you swing the view to the approaching aircraft and away, the change in pitch is muore noticeable. I think this is already an issue from the stock game, and since it is anyway a good way of telling sound direction, I don't see it as a problem at all
Deck gun and explosions sound now very well. The only problem so far is that the submarine ambient sound and specially the diesel engines are too low. I can't barely hear them inside the sub, and not at all at the bridge. I¡ll make more tests and report.

UPDATE: There is a problem with the bigger deck gun! In the S-Boat, the gun sounds perefctly, but in the P-Class it does not sound at all

I have tested it in a full patrol with OM and OMGEU. I think I tried all sounds except the AAA. All sounds worked fine--sounded great. I particularly like the gun crew voicing.

and RFB team, i did only modify them for different distances. OM has some additional aircraft i have to go through, resulting in some of them to be heard only when they get very close. |

Yes RFB January patch installed, and also its radar hotfix. The problem appears with the deck gun in the Porpoise class in the naval school, I have not yet tested in on campaign. Simply start the naval school RFB artillery mission with the Porpoise and probably you will also have it.

Nice job vickers! Going to try this out...should really add to the atmosphere.
One question though...should I leave realistic sound travel unchecked for this or it doesn't matter? |
