Especially for the tanker crew that got so annoyed by your unsuccessful refuelling attempts.

Indeed.
I can fill her up, but it takes forever and several connects. Seriously, most difficult thing I ever tried. Having the most trouble with speed, think I'll see if I can separate the throttles; just adjusting 1 engine should give some finer control.

Damo: those shots are bloody gorgeous! I'm also planning to get the PMDG boeing one day, she really does look like an awesome bird (and would probably be pretty easy for me to learn after months of flying the feelthere 737 classic)

Thankyou CCIP, I use the ENBSeries mod to get the darker appearance and bloom, my settings have a minimal impact on FPS. Most people I show screenies to think I edited them in Photoshop or something but that's all in-game. Here's a comparison:
As far as the 737 goes, I love the PMDG, but it's ageing now and I've heard some very good things about the iFly 737 that's recently been released, you may want to search for that too. I'll be sticking to PMDG though, I like the FMC and the handling characteristics and it's a good base for learning my PMDG 747 and MD11 that I splashed out on recently but have not flown too much yet.

737 would be my favorite too, though I never got into payware add-ons. Should give it a chance sometime.
What surprises me is not that my wingman was fired upon, but that the giant plume of smoke and a missile passing him within a few feet didn't tip him off to the fact. He got lucky with the first one, didn't have the energy to reach him. Second missile had no such difficulties. Oh well..

Arclight, may I ask what your specs are and what kind of FPS you get in A-10C? your screens look pretty lush and I'm due a major upgrade soon, and A-10 is definately on my wish list.

It's a C2Q (Q9550) running 3.4GHz, 4GB DDR2 800Mhz and a GTX460. In-game it's all on high with 4x AA and 1280x960, though I disabled transparency AA (TSSAA option in-game) and mirrors, and the displays are on 512 for resolution (the MFCDs, can go to 1024).
Runs well apart from bad weather, had rather big performance drop with that in Blackshark as well. Judging by your own shots I think you should be able to run it no problem, though that's of course always hard to judge.

Ok thanks, it's just when I upgrade I like to exceed what I really need at the time just to give me a little more lifetime before the next overhaul, a side effect of discovering self building a while ago and never looking back. It seems the time between something being high tech and becoming 'budget' is fast decreasing nowadays, and I get all depressed if my sliders need to take a trip to the left... lol.

"Stand and Deliver" waiting for permission to take off to investigate reports of three russian ships entering the coalition controlled zone west of Sukhumi.
(of course, the "permission" I am waiting for is the game to stop CTD'ing every single time I try to do a ramp start ) |

The bonus is that I now have 2 machines, with the "old" hosting a Minecraft server. Graphics wise I don't upgrade a lot though. Started with an 8800, and switched to the 460 just recently. Might wanna give the 560 a look if you're thinking about upgrading (not too familiar with ATI), just released, at worst 10% faster and at best 40%. Is there any logic to it? Specific event or time?

Nah, it's completely random, I think I've done 6 ramp starts in total with 5 of them resulting to a CTD at some point. Usually it's towards the end when I have both engines running and setting up the MFCD's, but I've had two CTD's while taxi'ing aswell.
With ~5hrs of total flight time, I've gotten only one crash while being airborne. |

Mariner's back with some IL-2 fails Just reinstalled it tonight since talking to Oberon. Am yet to get those mods back up too.
wing and tail shaved off during a failed first take off in months After a few successes then another fail, this one somehow took off after losing half a tail and scrapes along the ground then I attempted (I forgot IL-2's can't barrel roll XD) a barrel roll and crashed into the forest. Sadly I lost my Iced Tea and Dutch Cheese skins |

They can.
Just push the stick forward when you're upside down to compensate for the "negative lift" that the wings produce in that position.
