science has deduced the whole of the classical universe from nothing more than the real numbers and the finite groups. In fact finite groups are very easily deduced as whole real numbers. As shown by Bertrand Russel all real numbers can be deduced from nothing more than the number 1. In short, if the number one exists, then the universe exists. Indeed, the whole universe is nothing more than the solitary number 1.

But it doesnt have to be the number 1 you know. Any whole number will do, including the number 42.

First I thought Skybird was a little to depressive on his comments on our food and other stuff in the future.

Then I saw this evening news on Swedish tv. There they mention the risk for interference of freight incl. food and freshwater.
To get freshwater they need some type of chemical which is imported from outside Sweden

They predict a (forgot the word) of in and outgoing freight.

Later on the Swedish MSB withdraw the warning on Freshwater.

The CBS news magazine program 60 Minutes broadcast this segment yesterday, 12 April about the Covid-19 pandemic and the lack of preparedness in the USA; unfortunately, the video of the segment is posted only on CBS's home site and is not available in areas outside the US...


The segment caused a bit of a dust up with White House Adviser Peter Navarro who demanded CBS produce any 60 Minutes segments from the past that foreshadowed a pandemic such as we are seeing now and that called for advanced preparedness; it did not go well for Navarro and his position...

The idea that no one knew or could anticipate something like the current pandemic has pretty much been blown out of the water; the question is, given how very badly the current situation has been handled, what can be done to correct the gross errors that caused the present crisis?...


Whatever the answer may be, it certainly can't be a return to the present ineptitude, incompetence, and ignorance that led us to this point...

Came to think of a Swedish proverb, after following my own countries handling this corona crisis and the way your elected politicians have handled this corona crisis.

"Alla Sätt är bra, utom de dåliga". = "Every Ways are good, except the bad ones"

I guess it's first when this is over we can say if it was a good way they toke.
