Years ago I payed a visit to Mexico and drunks were just laying in the street in TJ and you had to walk by them. That was sad, but dead from the virus and nobody cares that's even sadder. The news over here today is all about the company 3M up in Minnesota shipping the same health care (masks) products America needs to other countries and saying that Canada and South America need them too

Sad is the domain of people that may not survive.
Be sad when the worst is past. Until then? Emotions are the Enemy to survival. |

You'll watch films of Kamikazes and state they were nut cases.
Yet you'll say how brave the Guys that bombed Tokyo. You might have dropped a tear seeing movies based on real life sacrifices. But that comes from the comfort of where you sit today. And how it's NOT your real life situation. For most people? They can NOT imagine the worst case. If you can not imagine it? You will not survive it! |

Printing replacement parts at home to repair MaxAir CAPR helmets. The hospitals are breaking these parts daily now and they are not readily available from the manufacturer. The parts are already 3D printed ABS and I replicated one in Fusion 360 to start making replacements. Expecting to make 100 of them over the weekend.

Very cool. I'm thinking about crafting shopping cart handle germ covers from thin wall PVC pipe. I remove a 3/4" section lengthwise from a 1&1/4" pipe. My prototypes seem to snap in place on most carts I've tried although there would need to be two different lengths to handle almost every cart out there. I've bought 100 ft of pipe to start, but I need to make a jig for my circular saw yet. The prototype I cut with an angle grinder, but that's risky business.

Seems to me that due to the late release of emergency state powers most regions and services got set into buying new PPE, with most of the industry going into the over drive (tripple shifts, workflow optmisation etc) not counting other companies making domestic masks (surgical patern masks) out of the cloth they have.
Only the filtering half mask plant in SPB is pumping around 100k of them daily and there is a bunch of other ones also working on the problem. Same applies to gas masks and the like.

Sadly it won't fit into the google translate. Interesting alternative statistical view on COVID-19.

Sweden's ignorrant "strategy" of not caring, is imploding all over the place. As predicted. "We trust each other" is a sentence that virusses cannot decode.
