" A Rolls in the desert is above rubies' TE Lawrence
Quote:
Lawrence entering Damascus in a Rolls 'tender' which augmented his squadron of nine Mk.I Armored cars....Postwar and enlisted in the British Tank Corps under the name Thomas Edward Shaw and subsequently scored 93 percent on the Rolls-Royce armored car course, the “highest mark ever given.” When queried by the journalist Lowell Thomas after the war as to what he might most value, Lawrence replied, “Perhaps it is childish, but I should like my own Rolls-Royce car with enough tires and petrol to last me all my life.” The Consummate warrior IMHO and his warhorse of choice? Mr Shaw should have stuck to four wheelers. and avoided motorcycles... I had a gorgeous WWI R.R. poster for the Mk.I with T.E.s quote but cannot relocate it: by then the Mk.I had upgraded to solid wheels in the Middle East after the Hejaz Campaign.

recently rediscovered-the complete master of rebellion!

He designed and printed postage stamps. Seems 'Ol TE, not content only to win wars, designed a set of stamps for the (shortlived) Kingdom of Hijaz-never issued and collected by Uber-philatelist George V, now in the possession OF HRH Queen Elizabeth..the man left his stamp on history...literally!

@ Aktungbby, glad you like the wheels
But that body was a hell of a job to get it looking as good as it does ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update! The instruments are now in and working. The pilot is now in and the guns and engine rocker arms are now working with animations. The hit boxes are done and the game just takes all the parts and throws them everywhere till I get the damage CFG done to govern the game engine on what to do with the parts. And up up and away we go! Left to do; Damage 3D model. Damage CFG. Damage texture. A few skins. Deutschmark |

And here is the next one!...
Have your first look at Canvas Knights Breguet 14. As always still much left to do on her, but I think about a week or so and she will be up for download. Note! Lets see how observant you are. What do you see on this plane that is not the norm for a WW1 plane? And this thing made the bomber variant of this plane the first in aviation history to have it and thus making it the grand pappy of all others that followed. There is two photos here that show it very well. Deutschmark |
