...did i read that correctly Hans ? you say that you have fixed it ?? this issue had 'killed' many many hours searching at scene.dat for fixing it without success . please Hans send me the env folder and the scene.dat you are using . i want to see it happening in game . if ,indeed, you solved it prepare yourself for something 'unexpected' !

Best regards Hans
it was a very quick tweak just to show you the 'beauty' of the high contrast difference between reflections and water (frescnell coef also 'helps' exactly to this direction). if ''polygon effect'' is,indeed, solved you can create amazing reflection maps (with high contrast difference comparing to water color ) which will lead to much more 'convincing' water-environment.BUT if you create these 'high contrast' reflection maps without solving the ''polygon effect'' it will turning to a very ugly env when ''polygon effect'' appears.

and just to tease a little bit the TDW (i am joking TDW ...don't get upset) .TDW...bring this water to sh3 ... imagine how it will look (warning : the following images are FAKE ! ) :

Thought so.
Not impressed with wave mechanics in SH5.

Hi mate,

Sorry for the silence but i am configuring a brand new system with win 7 64 bits and i am struggling with re installing all my software to work under that new rig. New specs will be intel i7 2600k with 16 GB of ddr3 , GPU sapphire 6950 2 Gb

Many of my applications are not working under win 7 pro 64 bits it is a real pain and now i understand why i was so reluctant to change!
I just hope s3d editor is working correctly under win 7 pro 64 bits and also can someone point me to the thread that was explaining how to make SH3 work under win 7 ?

For U-BOAT_HAHD i was getting at implementing my new explosions and fire effects before i start that system transfer.

The minute i am done solving my new installation i will resumed work on mod

Best regards Hans

Sorry to hear about your upgrade woes, but still good to hear from you all the same.

Hope you get it up and running (and back to work ) soon. Good luck!

Thank mate for the link i just hope i will be a lucky man with installing on win 7!

It is not my first rig but this one is a complete new ball game with 64 bits OS.

Many applications are still working only under 32 bits and the trend seem a slow and painful one regarding update from softwares.

Best regards Hans

Ask this man...
Wolfehunter , he's still a member here as far as I know.

When he was a member of my old website BTS, he had a complete tutorial on how to get SH3 to work on W7. He's quite the GURU on W7.

Good luck Hans
