I searched for the 1.5 at the site and then hit the download and it sent me to the Russian site. I also used the link in the mods thread and it sent me to the same place. I wonder if you have to join the site to down load files

This is the site they sent me to http://files.mail.ru/VSM7BV . Could my virus protector keep it from downloading ?

Ontos with those Russian websites what you have to do is open a new window to be able to download their stuff.Otherwise you get re-directed to a page full of averts....

Try the tanksim.org.ru website.I checked it out 2 days ago and they now have Beta 1.5 available for downlaod.It's a fairly user-friendly website with automatic translation into English:here's the link I just clicked on it now and it worked:http://tanksim.org.ru/

The download link for Beta 1.5 is on the right side (bottom) of the main page.

frinik, I tried that link and it did the same thing. Kyth, I downloaded it from your link and it loaded on my desk top, I'm on a diferrent computer now, tomorrow I'll down load it on the one I have Steel Fury on.

Sure, that's okay,

I'll let you know if I plan to take it down, but for the next couple months at least, it should be good as a backup / alternative link.

Tanksim.org.ru site is fine;
it's the file-hosting site, files.mail.ru, which seems to be stuck in a loop - maybe a temporary thing, maybe not

By the way, I hope that tanksim.org download page gets updated soon - they're only linking to my first 2 missions

I'm downloading 1.5 now. When it's done I just drop it in the JSGME right! One more question my main gun wont traverse when my vehicle is moving the AI seems to have control, but when stopped it works fine, is that normal ? Ooops, I loaded the 1.5 and it changed everything to Russian, do you have the english version or?

Hi Ontos,

There doesn't appear to be any 'official' English version as yet.
However, there is an English patch (in Googlish, rather)

that should tide you over till then,

There's also a 'beta-fix' to update the SPM 1.5, which is still officially a 'beta'.

On the Sukhoi.ru Avia forum the Beta 1.5 guys who released it (Stone 2009, SHUN and Maleskin to name only 3) hinted yesterday that they are working on an Alpha release which should incorporate all the fixes and most likely missions to go with the new tanks and vehicles introduced when Beta was released.It's a work in progress with no timeline given by I suspect by end of March we should have an Alpha release.

Let's wait .AS for an English version don't bet on anything until the Alpha comes out.

No not as far as I know but I think a guy made a shooting-targetting mission.Was it on the Graviteam forum????
IT comes with practice. Usin g the German gun sights is fairly easy but the Sov ones are a bit more compliacted.What you need to differentiate is of course between AP and HE.As HE rounds are lighter and with less propellant you need to set-grade the sights higher to reach the same distance to compensate.
