Combat Air Tactics for WW2 Simulators
Thought I would create a post for people to post tutorials or tactical videos to improve dogfighting/bombing in their favorite WW2 flight sims.
IL2 Tutorial Videos (Extremely helpful for people learning how to survive in IL2) http://www.darts-page.com/movies2.htm Using the gun sight to determine range - 24.5 MB, it shows how to determine range to targets using the gun site and how this relates to convergence. How to Skip Bomb - 33 MB, it shows how to skip bomb small and medium ships and get away in one piece. How to Take on Big Ships - You'll need to see the "How to Skip Bomb" video for the skip bombing portion (time delay, release points, etc.). This is about how to get in and out of Battleship and AA ship's defenses alive (and drop a bomb in the process!). How to Attack Ground Targets - 26 MB, it shows how to attack ground targets in a fighter aircraft using guns, rockets, and bombs. How to Destroy an Anti-Aircraft Gun - 33 MB, it shows a technique on how to attack and destroy an Anti-Aircraft gun with a fighter without being scathed. How to Destroy an Anti-Aircraft Gun in a 109 - 18 MB, for my LW friends who wanted to see a 25mm get smoked by a BF-109/F4 How to Land On A Carrier - 31 MB, for those with Pacific Fighters, the "race track" approach for landing How to Land a Corsair - 18 MB, for those who find landing a Corsair on a carrier more difficult than other aircraft. How to Destroy AA Defenses - A whopping 47 MB, I couldn't make it any smaller. Shows how to prioritize and destroy an airfield's worth of guns using one fighter (a clipped wing Spitfire in this mission). How to work as a wingman pair - 34 MB, an example of how wingman can work together to take on one enemy - more of a familiarization to give the idea of the High/Low, In/Out technique we try to use in the 2GvSAP. How to Take off using the 4.0 Flight Model |

When dropping the A-Bomb or Virus House Bomb never fly low or your dead.
CFS3 TIP OK, most of you knew that one. :p

Never turn away from a wounded enemy until his plane is a burning wreck in no-mans-land!
OFF tip. Belive me, never take your eyes from them, that might be the last thing you'll do!

If you see a lonely enemy aircraft on a much lower altitude....don't bother....or something might bothering you very soon.....
and never, EVER!!!!! underestimate the flak! I've done that one time too many.....

Yeah, Flak is never friendly, no matter who fired it. Definately agree with watching out for snappers. There's rarely such a thing as an unescorted bomber squadron, they're there somewhere...the yellow nosed bastards.

if you think that unescorted they are easy picks...''WRONG!'' they bust your engine in no time. if you want to finish of a bomber quikly you mostly need the nose cannon to dive above them and rip their wings off.
