My torpedoes won't reload
Hi all,
Why won't my torpedoes reload until after I surface again? Is this a known bug? It goes like this; I stock my prey on the surface then I dive to periscope depth for the kill. I aim then fire 3 torpedoes... and that's it. My torpedoes won't reload until I surface again. I can make an emergency surface then an immediate crash dive to activate the process, but that draws the enemy to me like stink on an old outhouse. They won't reload on their own. Is there a way to activate the reloading process while underwater? Am I missing a button somewhere? I'm running a modified GFO. Thanks

If you have silent running on they will not reload, also check your auto reload button.

Ooooooooooooooooh. I'll check into that.
My auto reload button is checked on, and I am runnin' silent... that must be it. Thanks

yep, silent running turns off all activities like repairs and reloads because these things are noisy so they stop during silent running

One other thing to be cognizant of is if you fire all your fish & then switch to silent running to evade. When you secure from silent running it wont always automatically reload the tubes unless you click the auto reload button again.

So I am new to the game and had the same problem. In your stateroom at port you have a grey (almost invisible submarine in front of your desk.
thats the ticket man |

A related issue arises when replenishing torpedoes at a forward base - if one or more tubes refuse to accept a torpedo its most likely because its door is open.
Go to the periscope station/F4 and close the offending tube (key "W" to select tube, key "Q" to open/close the tube) A side note is that if your torpedo selection includes some extra "renown points" fish, replenishing them prior to reaching home port will fill all torpedo slots at the original loadout at no additional cost. |
