Cycles of nature plain and simple. Been around long enough to have seen it all. IIRC we're starting down from a solar maximum so we'll probably see some declining temperatures over the next eleven years or so. Break out your skis.

Jamie - I saw my first winter thunderstorm either last year or the one before, completely surprised me!

Wolferz - which are you old enough to remember, the mini ice age from the 17th Century?

Doesn't make me sad at all. It just violates the posted rules. On the other hand it's easy enough to use Paintshop or Photoshop to scratch that part out.

On the other hand it's so tiny I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.
