YES! Just don't install it in the default folder, which is c:/Program_Files_(x86)/Ubisoft/Silent_Hunter_III. You can run afoul of the User Access Control in Win7 when you try to add mods. Install to a folder in the root directory, like c:/SH3, and you will have no trouble at all.

Good luck and good hunting!

Danke Big Walleye!; For serious realism, move the computer to the garage, turn on both car engines being sure to crack the garage door to taste. Place a clothspin on the schnozz to simulate your carbon scrubber gear and have a garden-mister aimed at your back. Don't forget the cat litter box and any amount of cold spam from the can. Have u tubed on the Apple River?

Figured! Grew up in nearby MN. ( big muskie). Miss the Quetico Wilderness and real 'canoe' trips but not flies and snow( ie.Fargo). Will acquire SHIII since all the subsimmers tout it so much. Can FATS in SHV be set as in SHII? Left and Right turns and 800 or 1600 yards are missing in SHV version of game?. Noticed also that all Olaf's special meals go to keeping my soundman happy enough to do his job! but he can sure find the enemy and mark 'em in a peasoup fog. Thanks again for your valuable imput.

Best part about winter up here: Fewer bugs! Just the snow flies!

SH3 has fully programmable FATs. SH3 is as much fun as original SH, with way more capability. Try it with GWX. And I like NYGM for a real "how it was" feel. Pick it up from Amazon for ten bucks, and SubSim gets a kickback. Can't lose.

Only if you get there through the link at the top of this page. Going straight to Amazon does nothing.
