This will give you a idea of the size of these. Yep...I went overboard a bit! The smaller motor was in a Piper Cub RC (400 motor I think)
My model is getting heavy. The bulkheads are the larger plywood. The fiberglass and many coats of paint/resin have added a lot of weight. Just as well because I will have to add ballast so she sits in the water correctly. I will use lead shot for ballast.

That water was way too bright and blue -
So I had a quick play with 'shop - Although the surface vessel is stupid to drop in such shallow water, and with little speed. Reminds me of Dover, December 1939, stupid people.

Sorry for not posting for a lot time now, I 've been busy.
A quick update: My motor now is a Graupner 700 BB Turbo, the lead baterries are gone and I have installed 50 (yes 50) lithium-ion. Plus my shipyard is now relocated and renovated Pics coming! |

Nice boat
Looks like a great and time consuming hobby, i never got further than building Matchbox planes from wo2 when i was a kid. Maybe when i retire in the far future i will try to build something like this, where do you find the time? |

I think that you will find your return to this hobby very satisfying, especially when you finish your project.
