You do realise that if it's accurate you won't get anywhere near Texas? Several U-boat were dispatched to the Channel. None of them returned.

I remember reading about this years ago, I do believe the Allies sank 3 uboats during the DDay landings. But it would make a great mission, the survival factor alone makes one pout below.
