WoW uses Guilds, not clans. So it's not their nomenclature.

Clan's have been around since the first days of online shooters. We had a clan in my dorm back when (actually before, one of my classmates hacked iD) Quake came out, back in '96.

I think it would be cool to have some organization in how the game operates. We won a match today because the other team got into a TK'ing pissing match. I also hate going around a side the requires support, only to see the entire rest of the team has gotten jammed up a in a choke point in a valley of death.
