If getting a patdown is the worst indignity you will ever experience in your life, you are lucky.

This is small spuds. I am more concerned with the luggage scanning, which is done.

I do like the idea of severely limiting carry-on luggage. I hate flying with jerks who carry on every single piece of their luggage.

The safest I ever felt flying was when I was in Korea during the Olympics.

The Koreans knew how to run security! Quick, through, and polite. TSA should learn from the Koreans in how to do airline security.

I dont know if I was a buisness traveller it would grow old fast.

This will impact the already struggeling airlines as well.

I wonder if they'd bust a person for being a smart ass if they did some .. ehh.. "handsome pelvic thrusting action" while going through the scanner. I mean, hell, if their already viewing you like a freaking peepshow on a redlight district, may as well give em a show! Do an imitation of napoleon dynamite maybe?

The sad thing is that the people we are really concerned with with use a toddler as a bomb without a second thought. AQI used women and children all the time.

I agree that the TSA guys need training. I also want to know how they are background checked. They need to be looked at VERY closely, and more closely than I bet they are. When I go to the airport most of 'em look like they might have worked at ACORN (those ACORN dude will hook you up!).

I hope that little geek gets fined the full extent of the law.

He knew from the gitgo what choices\procedures he would have.

He wanted his few minutes of glory on Utube and is going to pay for it.

We live in dangerous times. Hopefully a better system will come into place.

But until then, this is better than nothing.

I hope he doesn't. In the article he states that he looked it up on the internet as to whether or not they were using the full body scanners. The website said they weren't, so when he got there and they were he objected to it. Had the website been accurate this may not have been an issue as he may not have flown. I base my assumption off of the fact that he actively looked to see if the scanners were in use before he went to the airport.

I really don't give a rat's ass about the images from a body scan. If someone makes a big deal about it in front of me, I'll tell them I'm imagining them naked already anyway! Get over yourselves.

Are you so naive as to believe what "HE" says as Gospell ?

In these times of people filming themselves for Utube running head first into a brick wall to get a moment of fame.

I would've thought you'de be more wary quoteing him.

He knew full well what his motives were.

I think you are right. If it was not for YouTube, people like this would not be quite so rebellious. It is all for their temporary fame. If this guy were seriously concerned, he would be working with the state legislators to get the laws changed.

It is an unfortunate cultural thing these days. These people think that just because they personally don't agree with something, they have a right to make a big scene... and video record it, don't forget, instead of handling it like an adult.

By acting like a spoiled jerk, he lost a lot of credibility for his "cause"... assuming that his cause was something other than "look at me on Youtube".

I am glad my air travel days are over with. I hope all the extra BS that isn't making anyone any safer, runs airliners right into bankruptcy. Then they'd HAVE to stop it to get people flying again.

Regardless though, in this aspect of our lives, the terrorists have indeed won.

TSA is in some part a part of our National Security and as such should be subjected to the same background investigation that the armed forces is subject to. So it is agreed that they should be looked at VERY closely.
