Great game, though EU is my least favourite Paradox grand strategy game series.

Also obtain a brick in case you need to smash the computer screen in rage at not understanding why the hell your budget is sliding to oblivion and the peasants are revolting for no apparent reason other than the lack of furniture.

My cunning plan to take Korinthos from the filthy Macedonians. I had two armies, main army the size of 1100-1200 men and a smaller army the size of 600 men. From past experience I figured that the AI would go for the main army, so I set it to AI controlled and commanded the smaller one myself.
The plan was simple; wait until the enemy would attack and sneak into the city while they tackle with my main army. This worked great, apart from few casualties due to the towers firing arrows at me, I got all three ladders in place with no enemy resistance. I swung around the walls capturing all the gates and towers, forcing the enemy to move into the city center or be killed by the towers. The AI commander lost almost half of his men ( ), but my casualties were only 29. Main forces clashing Reinforcements waiting in the cover of the trees for the signal that the gate's been captured The retreating Macedonians didn't know that soon they'd be trapped inside their own city Main army circles the city (no the idiots didn't move in ) North gate has been captured and Greek soldiers begin to pour in Beaten and tired, the remnants of the Macedonian army are no match for the well rested Greeks |

Wow; RTW has such good graphics for a game of its age. And I also miss some of the features that were removed in Medieval II and later games, such as the ability to zoom in realtime on any one of your cities whenever you wanted.
