Makes me gag. Something to do with the texture. I also don't like nuts - any kind of nuts. Well, macadamias and peanuts, but peanuts aren't nuts.

And while I love dry roasted peanuts, I hate them in anything else, including candy and ice cream.

Not a big fan of cooked tomatoes (love them in salads), but the rest is making my mouth water.

Also, what's wrong with haggis and the meat-pie-with-ketchup-floating-in-pea-soup-thingie? I like haggis, and that other dish looks pretty tasteful as well

Now for this typically Dutch meal: Snert. It's a thick pea soup usually served with smoked sausage and bacon:

Looks delicious, don't it?
You forget, I was once resident in your country and saw an awful lot of Herrings being eaten

Yummy! Raw salted herring served with raw onion chuncks

The 2010 herring season has just started, meaning the "Hollandse Nieuwe" is all fresh and delicious Not those smelly one-year-old half rotten things.

Indeed.

Also:

Snert - the sound one makes by closing off a nostril and blowing forcefully through the other.

Well, there's nuts and there's 'nuts', so I can make the distinction.

There's also "nuts", but I won't go there in a public forum.
