where do i find info on SH5 servers? are they up or down???

Hi Folks, been a fan of the SH series for a fair few years now and after playing on a mates SH5 thought what the hell i'll buy it (with reservations aka the DRM) and see what can be done with it, afterall there are some of the best modders around on these forums .. got the game, installed it this morning and it will not load all i get is the updating laucher on the screen and it then exits.

Is there a link on the Subsim forum to where you can see the state of the Ubi-servers?

it did patch this morning but like i say it hasnt gone anywhere since, if there are other issues that i need to be made aware of can you let me know.

Cheers

Maybe the game launcher is bugged. Try and reinstall it from the DVD

Hi McBeck, I also tried re-installing after removing anything remotely assocciated with SH5, still no joy.

*** Update, I gave up and installed SH5 my other OS (which i never use for gaming) and it now works, seems the original install on my primary OS has caused a glitch and wont run no matter how many times i re-install it.

look in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher at the launcher logs, it may give some clues.
Or when you re-install make sure that the game launcher gets completely deleted as well.

Second that.....I was almost ready to reinstall my OS because I couldnt get the gamelauncher to behave. Turned out there was some leftovers in that particular folder that caused the problems.
