![]() ![]() Grab 4MB Trailer if you want to see a quick preview first, before downloading the whole thing.. I've added this time the ending which has the Final Battle in more length. So from 6:51 to 8:10 it's differnt stuff, compared to the original release. Matching music was tough, especially on transition, but I couldn't get it better. Still, it shows similar amount of time when compared to the battle of Denmark Strait, which is cool. 2 versions - one in Black and White, and other in color. about 9 minutes long now! ![]() --------------------------------- DOWNLOAD COLOR VERSION DOWNLOAD MIRROR ALTERNATIVE ![]() --------------------------------- --------------------------------- DOWNLOAD Black&White Version ![]() --------------------------------- --------------------------------- DOWNLOAD BISMARCK Original version (Shorter) --------------------------------- Finally, I've done it. ![]() This is a Silent Hunter III 8 minute film showing the history of Bismarck, from her departure to her final days, shown stage by stage. I tried to capture the more significant parts of Operation Rheinübung and considering the challenge, I think it worked out quite alright. Enjoy! Choose one of the mirrors that works best. Also be patient please, sometimes it won't work from the first try (it’s the server…) Ok, that’s all for download, I hope it works. It's a large movie, and size is a cool 99mb, but I don't want to compress it down to the level of things becoming hard to read. As far as I can see, size is the only minus - but remembering CCIP famous "Blind Man's Tale" - I think the size won't be a turn off for downloading it. I’ve put more effort into it than to my previous “Bismarck:Payback” – it should show. Included with the download is also a readme file that covers the points covered in the film, as well as the historical part behind the film. Each episode (14 to be exact) was recreated as closely as possible using the mission editor. Read the credits at the end, it has the soundtrack list, and of course special thanks to all the mods I've used from this website. It's my 3rd Silent Hunter 3 movie, so I hope I can improve on many things with camera work, but that would have to wait till I get a much faster machine - my AMD2500+ is having a hard time recording with Fraps! Leave a comment if you liked it! |

Downloading will watch and give my feedback. These forums and films etc. are almost as much fun as the game itself.

Great! It's finally out!
Heh, well, excellent visuals and style. I especially loved the part leading up to the Denmark Straits battle, with the ships creeping through the fog - that was definitely great use of athmosphere, and you could really get a feel for the size of the ships there, too ![]() Definitely something for those who already have the history of the whole thing in their head - otherwise, I don't think the average, non-Bismarck-educated viewer would know. It seemed like it was a bit shorter than it should've been, outside of the Straits battle. Not neccesarily a bad thing, but it seems to be sort of anti-climactic at the end since it really built up tension until and through the Denmark Straits, but then it really seems to go over some similarly-dramatic events in literally seconds. Great work though. And an honour to see my camera mod finally used in a movie like this ![]() |

My main focus as you remember was on Denmark strait battle. The sinking of Bismarck really, what was that - a huge task force overwhelming an immobilized Bismarck, with tired crew that didn't really score any hits. It was pretty much beating up a wreck, and they still didn't sink her, even though they sent torpedoes end and bambarded it with shells.
I tell you another reason I didn't want it too long in the end - because when the germans blew bismarck up so she could finall sink, there were hundreds of people floating in the water (i still have this picture image in my head, many heads). And because of a u-boat sighting, the british had to leave and all those crewman died, bar few dozens who got picked up early enough. I figured showing that would be too a bit too much. I tried to show that basically there was one true battle, and than damaged Bismarck was on the run. It broke away from Eugen, was harassed by bombers, got torpedoed more than once, than got slaughtered by Home Fleet battleships. So it wasn't a great ending or something like that (for germans). AS you picked up rightly though, it is mostly a historic account I tried to make, even though I couldn't help but to dramatize a couple of places (like the fog and the final hours attack). |

Superb Job Type941!
![]() ![]() Great movie, and well worth the download! All these videos being created by the community is making me want to create one of my own. There is a lot of outstanding footage you managed to capture Type941, great job! I like the scene with the ice burgs and the ship coming through the fog, for a second you think your looking at another chunk of ice but after it comes into focus its the bow wake of the ship. ![]() ![]() Wolfy
