Okay, I kept on trying but gave up, in the end the choppers must've picked me up on MAD runs.
I tried the mission by air. As soon as the Han launched missiles at the Indians, the US escorts began laying into the Indian vessels as well, sinking 2 and severely damaging the remainder. what the hell?! |

Yes it's hard. Launching torpedoes at 5nm range with the Kilo is a too far away distance imo. You should launch your torpedoes as close as possible like 3 nm or even less to maximize the chance of hitting your high speed evading target. If you got detected all the time probably because you were traveling at high speed for the FFs to detect you by their passive sonar and directed the helo to your vicinity for localization and termination task. Be as quiet as the sea try to maneuver within 3nm of your target by going to the strike vicinity where your main target is going to pass within 3nm or less. Launch all weapons at your main target. Forget about using anti ship missile strike because that would give away your location and are easily countered by anti missile missiles besides their bites are useless for a carrier target. Hope this helps.
