Nice clips. Unfortunately the first one seems to be incomplete, just a part out of a documentary.
The Me 262 really was one hell of an aircraft for it's time.... (although it's engine management was pretty tricky....)

@Task Force
The real Me 262 was waaaayyyyyyy more sensitive to throttle changes than the one in Il2. Yu could move the throttle levers only veeeeeeery slowly.

Wasnt the 262's flammability to do with the temperature of the engine? I swear I read something like that about it, just cant remember which of my books.
EDIT: I stand corrected, from Mike Spicks book: "The unreliable jet engines could shut down or even catch on fire even from slighest throttle change" |

At least it's clear that's not a Lolwaffle-member in the cockpit of the Me-262: The plane is lacking the customary 50 meter trail of flames |

Heavy loaded German BOMBERS like the Me 321 / 323??? Right.
But yes, that thing contained a very small dose of the original "Göring Gas". This special "fuel" was enough to get even the most heavy planes into the air, but couldn't be used on fighters like the 109 because it's extreme power would have ripped the aircraft apart. Unfortunately it's use was very complicated and one had to make sure that nothing alive was standing behind the plane that used this fuel because of the extremely toxic exhaust gases that would cause every form of life to perish emidiately. Another problem was that this type of fuel wasn't always available and depended on Germanys food situation and Görings appetite.
