Getting pinged by an armed tugboat, keeping you at only 8x speed despite the fact that Bob doesn't even have depth charges. (Got out of that by ramming the tuggy.)

When BDU has never kept in you in port more than 12 days, and you return to base March 6, eager and ready to invade norway in early april. You launch from the pier....... and you notice it's April 18th!!...... DOH!!! Darn you slow refitters!!!

Loading acoustic torpedoes in base, deciding to quit the game and reload the save point.
The torpedoes have switched to the default loading, but you're still down 1000 renown.

At that distance and speed, and given that you are, after all, running a pretty heavy program, a half-second's hesitation can ruin your shot. The AI could be ahead of you a few seconds, or behind you -- and then, a shot at that distance is not always that easy to sight.

Getting bored, ordering a crash dive for S&G's (just to keep the crew sharp ya know), tabbing over to another screen and forgetting that your running deep at flank. Coming back 20 minutes later, finding your batteries nearly drained, surfacing and having the watch see a hunter killer group 5 minutes later.

Yes, in some cases, there are mines over these nets, but not always, but you are absolutely right that some nets, preventing eels to come up and hit the target

Mines and nets are distinctly SEPARATE entities....your best chance of keeping clear of a net with an eel is to set the depth of the eel to 'zero' which IMHO is unrealistic.

Setting up a long shot on fast tanker in manual, then after firing notice I didn't flip the switch back from input mode and the TDC did not have any of the info. Could not have missed worse.

It ran NNW into the large "bay" between Exmouth and Portland - 0500Hrs approx, Heavy Seas, Visibility Shyte - but they were there!!!! Battery low - 10% - Surface the Boat and . . . . . No Convoy??????? Periscope Depth to check Sonar No Convoy!!!!! Not the first time either . . . . |

I agree. I have done it once and I saw the torpedo flying out of the water like a leaping salmon.

Worst form of CTD after sinking an aircraft carrier.
Or When you have no option but to re-install the game.
