Thanks very much for all your hard work on this. The manual is great - very good info & clear installation instructions. I understand you are taking a break from modding for a while - a well earned rest.

sending contact report
I have been using the hard code fixes and really enjoying them, but I have a problem. The game seems very stingy about letting me send a contact report. I have to be in sight of at least several ships and even then sometimes it won't let me send one. I know that they can only be sent every hour.
Is there a MOD or fix that allows a player to send a contact report at any time? Since with the hard code fixes the player enters the convoy data manually, it should be possible to send it whether in sight of the convoy or not. For example, I closed on a convoy submerged and got an estimate of speed and course. I would like to be able to disengage, surface, and then report what I found. Anyone have a fix for this? |

Nice work.
I take the test. Although it can still be a few things in sh3 improve, you need a little rest and finally play this refreshed game . ps. I hope to soon add to the full HD GUI (mainly for GWX), which with your fixes should be back this game from the depths of history. |

@H.sie:
Congratulations on the release of your V16B1 patch! Can you please clarify the purpose of two files supplied with the patch for me (and perhaps for others): 1. hsie.ini. Is this used by the patch-kit to create the SH3.exe file? Or is it read by the new SH3.exe file every time that the game is loaded? (If so, it needs to be added to the mixture of files for installation with JSGME.) 2. hsie.act. You said in this thread some time ago that this file was intended to be temporary, and the hard code would later be added to SH3 itself. Is this file actually needed now? Many thanks, Stiebler.

@Stiebler:
hsie.act's only purpose here is to read in hsie.ini config file and write the parameters found there into sh3.exe's RAM during game load. If you delete one of those files, sh3.exe will always load with default parameter values. Both files are already located at the correct place in the JSGME-Supplement Mod. The parameters in hsie.ini can be changed at any time without a need to create a new sh3.exe every time. hsie.act does no more apply any hardcode patches, as it did during the Alpha test time period. All Fixes are hardcoded into sh3.exe and some .act files. h.sie Last edited by h.sie; 02-21-12 at 09:59 AM. |

How do I implement the additional fixes by Stiebler along with h.sie's patch version V16B1?

@complutum: Should work. If you contrary to expectations encounter an CTD, think of it as sabotage. That was popular in the last years of the war. These are realism fixes.
@Victor: Currently you cannot. Stiebler will surely provide an Addon in the next time. Please be patient. |
