Had an interesting patrol yesterday: I was commanded to drop supplies for some troops in a hidden bay. I arrived directly at the location (not 50 yards difference, i swear), but nobody was there. I waited a bit when suddenly i heard "radar contact, medium range". I dived and hid. A fast (and small) enemy ship drove EXACTLY to the location i had been waiting the whole time and circled around looking for something.....
It was a trap!!!! Not sure if that was scripted and what role RSRD plays in that, but it was so incredible. Awesome. edit: Ran into a giant convoy today... As I was too afraid of the escort shield I shot 6x Mk14's at slow speed at the maximum range, three hits, three misses (I couldn't see sh** due to fog, night and rain. Sank one ship with ~7000tons and damaged another one, but it got away. Interestingly the escorts did NOT find me and I could simply sneak away unharmed... One question, though: Is that escort shield realistic? It felt somewhat odd... edit 2: duh.. here the pic:

IIRC it was early (January) 44 and north of the Macassar Strait, I do not know more, sorry.
edit: Found a savegame (from maybe 1 or 2 days after the convoy), here the position (see sunk ship) and the date.

Is 'Run Silent Run Deep Sound MOD.SPAX' still needed, or is it now part of RSRDC_TMO_V502 ?
I still have to finish out the war with TMO 1.7 and RSRDC before I load up the new mods. Oct '44 at the moment (the furthest I've gotten yet). I have noticed that shipping is getting a little scarce. At the beginning of the war, I would have to return to a base (usually Darwin) and reload two or three times before I even got to my assigned area. Probably realistic, but makes for L-O-N-G patrols, and skimpy tonnage. Thanx for all you do.

Did RSRD change the way the fleet commands are labeled. I ask because with RSRD, the sub commands are: SubPac and Task Force 3/51/71. With TMO only the sub commands are: Pacific Fleet, Asiatic Fleet, Pacific Fleet Div 2, and Asiatic Fleet Div 2.
With TMO 18 or earlier with the appropriate version of RSRD, I had the 4 sub commands as opposed to just the two. Think maybe something got corrupted during install? Installed in this order: TMO 19 RSRD v502 Thanks. CW
