Used to play Falcon 4 in its various incarnations, including Allied Force.
Don't have the time nowadays to devote to such a complex sim.

I still play IL-2 however I haven't picked it up in awhile.... maybe tonight.

The mission in PF where you are the IJN trying to locate and bomb a US sub sounds fun.

When I was 12, my dad bought me 2 computer games for his Atari ST: Sublogic Flight Simulator 2 and Epyx Sub Battle Simulator. Ever since then it's been simulations and strategy games almost exclusively

For a few years I was in an online squad that flies IL-2, but somehow I never really got into IL-2, or online flying. I prefer single player campaigns, and this seems to be a weak point in titles like IL-2 or Lomac.

Sims I fly now:
- Battle of Britain 2
- MiG Alley (I can't let it this oldie go)
- Falcon 4AF
- Wings over Vietnam
- FS9

I'll pick up B-17II again, the flying itself was a bit of a disappoitment, but the campaign and the atmosphere during missions was excellent.

IL-2: 1946.

It's been a few months but it's my favorite flight sim and I tend to jump around a lot in different aircraft in quick missions. I'm still doing a Zero pilot career.

I flew il-2 PF quite a bit. Offline, and online mostly on Zekes vs Wildcats as well as the odd coop.

I too was annoyed at 1946. It wasn't the inclusion of the fantasy BS planes alone that pissed me off, it was that the same guys who put it out were responsible for PF in the first place, and they did such a godawful job of it. I hadn't played in a while until I found that some of the most glaring issues could and were being taken care of by the players.

Now I'm interested in il-2 again since I can fly over New Georgia, Vella Lavella, and Bouganville.

Every single one of them, except for that last option.

Red Baron 3D's Full Canvas Jacket is what I'm still active in.

Also did alot of flightsimming, starting on Sublogic FS2.0 on Atari ST.
Fondest memories of DiD EF2000, Microprose EAW and the IL2 series.

I'm currently only active in FS9 (2004) and Battle of Britain II, but IL-2 and Falcon 4 are only inactive due to lack of time on my part - I'm probably no less, if not more of a fan of those two. Maybe they just traditionally eat more of my time, that's why I avoid em for now . I'll also take another crack at LOMAC sometime - I just never managed to get into it the last 3 times I tried, but my systems also handled it less than ideally.

My first was Microprose F19 Stealth Fighter back in '87. Messed about with F18 and MSFS and then got into EAW for a few years whilst it was being modded. Now using IL2/1946 and BoBII. Just seem to like the WWII fighters better than the high tech modern stuff.

Must give the WWI planes a go, might just have to regress to the oldest form of aerial combat.

I played AH ages ago, then Warbirds from when it was $2/hr. When my wife was a resident (and never home) I racked up multi hundred dollar bills every month.

Still, cheaper than bars
