IL-2 How to fly a damaged plane.
Ever wondered how to control your plane after losing those bits of the plane that let you turn and go up or down.
Well here is my one stop guid. IN QMB jump in any plane where you too can be the rear gunner. I choose the SBD as gunner you have a really good field of fire. In stages and in no particular order start takin out bits of your plane. For example shoot out your left elevator, go back to the pilots position and see how it feels. Then take out your aileron, and see how that feels. Feeling really brave? Shoot off your rudder and try and make it back to base. Remember practice makes perfect, it may seem like a waste of a good plane but hey you bring it back with holes, they guys will have the gaffer tape ready for you to try again.... |

Man, I can't tell you how many times I've flown with damaged planes. I've been playing IL2 for 5 years now, so I know all about this subject. It just takes practice.

Thats actually quite a good idea, because I am constantly getting pieces of my tail shot off, or cut off by another plane (stupid AI).
