ain't that the truth. my biggest mistake was getting bored enough to try raiding a port in Florida in my IXC. Can't remember which port exactly but I think it was Miami. The problem with attacking ports isn't that the water in the harbor is shallow, it's that the water around it is too!

Another major mistake of mine: Bothering to sail to New Zealand waters. Even in Fifi's excellent NYGM, which has a great campaign, there wasn't very interesting traffic there. I do think going to the Far East in general has its moments. But the trip from Penang to the Cook Strait just isn't worth your time.
