Question- SCX & Sub command
Hey guys, long time.
A while back i was asking around about the mods because they wouldnt work on my computer, if anyone has any answers, they are welcome. But what i plan on doing is to delete the mods files and un-install SC, then re-install it all, and see if it will work, can anyone help me out on how to go about this? |

I started up subcommand to see if the game would run, and at the screen where it shows the three stock subs at the beginning i was told that "error 13015 has occured" can anyone help? |

Yes, that is the correct order...don't know what your problem is, I'm afraid.

Make sure that you run all the required .bat files after each mod install, then check the game works before you install the next one.

i know.
I'll update the version to 108 I'll install SCXII and the .bat files in the graphics and interface I'll check it, and it will work, then whenever i try to use the SCU, and start SC, it says error in the database. I'll then run SCXII in hopes it wil help. I run the two .bat files then when i start SC, the screen will show, then it will flash black and go back to my desktop. |

Maybe this will help.
Grayfox;
Uninstall SC, reinstall, patch with 1.08, install SCXII, run batch file Install_Graphics.bat. Now when you finish this step I recommend you download SCXIIc and again run the Batch file for SCXIIc and you should be good to go. It seems that starting with a clean install is the best way. You can get these files over on SubGru if you don't already have them. After you get SCXIIc, you will have everything you need to run SCU, although I never have, many people do. I hope this helps, Ron Banks MMCM(SS), USN(Ret) |

Could Ramius's post be made a sticky?I think that with the launch of the combat pack this question is going to be asked many times in the coming months!

No need to make this a sticky, just read the files that come with the mods
Thats where I quoted them from.

Btw,
Is there a clear indication of SCX running? I finnaly got SC too, and yesterday i installed SCXIIc (following the order mentioned above from 1.08 to IIc), i run the .bat files and loaded the game after each phase. The game didnt crash, and i can see SCX,SCU folders in my SC folder, and i tried the subchanger utility and got the red SUCCESS at the bottom. But when i tried the mission editor with the playble sub i have chosen in the utility, i dont get playble-sub settings at all, just the plain AI sub settings (3 pages). What am i doing wrong? is there a different EXE file for SCX/SCU? Last edited by Ori_b; 07-04-06 at 11:35 PM. |

Yes, SCU and SCXII each require their own installation. Once you install SCXII, there should be a readme text file in your main SC folder, explaining how to take the next step and install SCU. I'd also recommend installing SCXIIc as well. For me, without SCXIIc installed, some of the new user subs didn't work properly.

USNI_Fixes.bat
Ramius;
I cannot find the above folder and I am running SCXIIc, and it is working fine. All I find in the graphics folder with usni are: usnidata.grp usnidata.ndx usniref.grp usniref.ndx So did I fail to download SCXII and SCXIIc properly? As I said I am playing SC and it works. I have never completed installing or activating SCU. Thank you, Ron Banks MMCM(SS), USN(Ret) |

Going by the comments on here it doesnt look like Bill has it on his site. Guess you'll just have to find the official site to download it then :hmm: (hint - www.ramius.co.uk )
