Some kind of Clay Blair for the british, with some technical detail but mostly patrols/tactics/decisions, recently written (with the role of codebraking allready known) and incorporating sources from the other side regarding sunk ships.
Just like Hitler's Uboat war, only for the british (Churchill's Uboat war???)
Sofar I've only found technical reference books and narrations on individual subs (HMS Upholder mostly).
I pretty much know everything about Uboats, and some stuff about US Submarines (thanks to "Silent Victory") but almost none about brit subs.
I'm not aware of a single source i'm afraid. This one is going to require research and cross referencing.

Its nowhere near the detail you want, but a feel for the time can be gained from One of our Submarines by Edward Young
