FS9 and Win7-64

Do you have a file called Uiautomationcore.dll in your root folder? Apparently 64 bit OSs and that file do not get along well. Some people have had success replacing it with this file:

Back up your own of course. Others have simply removed the file and it solved the issue..

Also, are you using anything like the ENB series .dll for lighting effects? It constantly gave me the crashes you refer to.

And if the above is of no use then the best thing to do is look at the event logs under Administrative Tools in Control Panel, it will tell you what the actual error is. I had to do similar hunting when going to Win7 64 on FSX but eventually found and removed all the issues.

Will check those. No ENB lights, AFAIK, and the download site for the first dll gives trouble and rings alarm bells.

Both Avira Premium and Windows 7 started to blink red lights. While Avira is know to sometimes call false positives, it is dubious that Windows' settings as I have chosen them also do not like it. I keep some things a bit tighter than the default upper medium settings.

And when a website additonally pops up messages telling me that I need to switch of both AntiVir and Firewall, and also have to switch on all Cookies, this does not raise any more trust on my side. I think it is either bad intention, or incompetent website programmer. Next thing they want is that I have enabled Javascript, eh?

I see what happens when I "delete" that file.

Meaningless anyway, it seems, the dll, and altering it, is with regard to problems with FSX, NOT FS9, I just learned via Google.

Ok, well I have seen people saying they have had issues in FS9 with it as well. I'd grab you a link but it is meaningless to do so.
