I got this the day after it came out and after nearly wearing out the demo lol.
There is just something about this game, perhaps it's the graphics, perhaps it's the immersion it offers.. Perhaps it's everything but this has to be one of the first games I've played that made me actually care about the characters I was playing. I honestly didn't realize it until the first part, playing in the back yard with your kids. As the game progressed I got more and more into it, usually with games you play the character as if it was you. Not the case with Heavy Rain, I found myself playing it and tailoring my actions and the acts more in line with how Ethan would act in that situation or how Shelby would act. It's different then any other game out there and by far one of the best written with some of the best graphics. Plus the little origami thing as you're installing the game was a nice touch lol |

As one of my friends said in a review he did of the game. Heavy Rain makes you feel like you're one of the characters in a really good book or movie.
The Origami figurine was a nice touch. The only thing is my instructions were wrong, and I had to undo it and redo it to get the little bloody points on the bottom. Although it might be because I didn't update to 1.01 until after I made the figure. This is one of the games where I'm actually excited and highly anticipating the DLC. Especially since one of them will supposedly have you play the Origami Killer on one of his killings. A DLC with Jayden investigating another case would be top class in my opinion.

Have you played the taxidermist scene? I got it free with the special edition and that was brilliant. 20mins of gameplay, yet 6 different outcomes. Awesome!
As for the origami figure, mine folded up brilliantly following the instructions :/

Watched this review on GoodGame (transcript only available online) http://www.abc.net.au/tv/goodgame/stories/s2826987.htm
They mention the game cheating a bit to force you into doing some stuff which is a bit nerfed, but I assume as it is a bit movie or novel like rather than a sandbox with plenty of variations in endings and possible paths to them it should hold some interest for a while. |

Exactly, I'm currently playing through it again and it's every bit as good as the first time.
