Great read.
Nicely done. You're probably right, despite your crew telling you everything was repaired your hull damage "meter" was probably telling you info that you missed and as soon as you dived that last time it was too late to reverse the inevitable.
It was obviously an enjoyable mission regardless of the outcome!!
